Director Jack Hannah makes a funny Disney short that rivals Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes in their heyday. Goofy (voiced by Pinto Colvig) is Cedric, lowly servant to the knight Sir Loinsteak. Loinsteak is about to go into a jousting contest with Sir Cumference for the hand of the Princess Esmerelda (voiced by June Foray). Loinsteak is knocked unconscious, and Cedric steps into his boss' iron shoes and competes.
This short features the play-by-play narration (by John Brown) that makes the Sports Goofy films so entertaining, and this had me laughing out loud despite the short running time. More care seemed to go into the comedy, from the silly names to the large cast of characters, who are all variations of Goofy, and also voiced by Colvig. Some very funny animation.
